Raw corn

The large and round corns are grown and harvested in Dong Thap and Dak Nong areas. Moreover, depending on the specific requirements of the order, choosing corns according to Vietgap or Organic standards.

Preliminary treatment

Corn  is graded to remove unsatisfactory fruits before being put into production. Then it will be preliminarily treatment such as cutting to the required size, peeling, ...

Steamed

The corns are washed in a bath of clean water to remove any dirt remaining on the surface. Then they will be put into a large capacity steamer tosteam and the time depends on the type of corn.

Cooling

After steaming, corn will be cooled quickly in a clean water bath. The rapid cooling will help prevent the corn from overcooking and save more production time.

Freezing

Frozen corn products are quickly frozen at -40 degrees Celsius and stored at -18 degrees Celsius.

Packing

Products are vacuum packed with specifications of each fruit per bag or 3 fruits per bag, depending on customer's requirements

Quality standards of frozen corn

Tan Gia Thanh company processes and provides frozen corn for the export market. There are two kinds of frozen corn, including frozen sweet corn and frozen sticky corn. Products always ensure standards of food safety and hygiene.

Some standards of the product, as follows:

  • Sweet corn size of 20-25cm, weight of 300-500gr per corn and sticky corn size of 15-20cm, weight of 200-300gr per corn
  • Peeling or remaining on 2-3 skin layers
  • Steamed and add sugar or not as customer's requirements
  • Steamed with panda leaf or not as customer's requirements
  • Vacuum for each corn or three corns per PA bag or packed PE bag as customer's requirements
  • Freezing at -40 degrees Celcius
  • Kept at -18 degrees Celcius
  • EXP: 24 months
